It looks to me like both of those match a 1980 KZ1000B4 LTD. Is that what you found?
Once you get a chance to take a closer look, please post some pictures. I'm curious to see what you find.
I have about 75% of an '80 LTD, with parts I don't plan to use. For example, if your forks are customized in a way you can't undo, I may be able to help.

Engine No. Range- KZTOOAE092601 - 092900 & KZTOOAE093001 - 110764, Bore X Stroke- 70.0 X 66.0 mm,
Compression Ratio-8.7:1, Maximum HP- 90 at 7500 rpm, Maximum Torque-8.9 kg-m at 6500 rpm.
That is what the bike started out as.

Yeah, that's correct. The Mk2 KZ1000 was made for two years, 1979 and 1980.
Hey Oldschoolkz1000, it's worth noting that the picture of your bike shows a valve cover that does not match your engine serial number. You should have the Mk2 valve cover, but you have a pre-1979 mk1 cover. It's possible that your bike has a head from an earlier model. The only real difference I'm aware of is air-ports for emissions reason.
