No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI'm getting ready to install an oil pressure gauge and wanted to share this information on the bushing M14 x 1.25 to 1/8 NPT. After a bit of searching today I think I found the correct one.

I'm also trying to decide on whether to use the 0 to 15 psi or 0 to 30 psi gauge. I realize that on a cold start up the oil pressure could go over 15 psi and this might damage the gauge. I'm wondering if it may be a good idea to use the 30 psi gauge just to be safe.

I'm using a 60 PSI gauge. This morning while warming up my dash gauge and the one below read 40 PSI. It drops down to 20 then runs at 10 when hot.

Wow, your pump makes a bunch of pressure. I don't think mine will be anywhere near that high. I inspected my pump and sanded the cover on a piece of glass. I used a thin foil gasket when I assembled it. I went with the 30 psi gauge just to be safe.

I haven't got the topend assembled yet. I'm waiting for the machine work on the cylinder head to be finished.

Well it looks like the M14 x 1.25 is the incorrect thread size for my 78 KZ1000. Mine is the courser 1.5 thread. Oh well, at least it's a more popular size.

What do you mean by "Mine is the courser 1.25 thread?" Is it 1.5?

That bushing looks like it would work on Suzuki GS bikes.

Sorry, my mistake, I meant 1.5. I corrected it. From what I've read, KZ's use both thread pitches. I've got the other bushing on it's way.
