How Do 81 Cam Tensioner Slides Fit? was created by TBurglar
I bought an 81 KZ650 csr as a basket case, and I can't figure out how the slide with the pin fits. The other one isn't a problem, but the pin is clearly too short to go in the slots between the head and the tubes. Does this mount between the tubes and the crankcase? Does anyone have a picture of how it mounts? Thx

I am familiar with that diagram, but it doesn't help me. I am trying to figure out where that pin sits. I'm assuming it is in the crankcase, but that hasn't been confirmed.
I have a manual, but it doesn't have a diagram or instruction on where that pin sits.

That goes between the case and barrels. You need the rubber dampeners too.

Use assembly lube or case sealer to hold the rubbers in place while assembling, they will stay put during assembly. Otherwise they are easy drop down the cam chain channel. R
