Paint on new KZ1000 clutch springs?

Hello!

I did some searching, but could not find.an answer - is there a reason Kawasaki puts a messy coat of paint on half of each new clutch spring? Should I remove the paint with some type of stripper, or just leave it?

Leave it won't hurt anything.

Color coding. The Z2 springs were red so I didn't use them'

Ahhhh - makes sense. I just find it strange that they would put paint on something that is going to be exposed to oil inside the engine. Hopefully it won't flake off with age.

The inside of the main case's and the oil sump on my ZX750A1 motor are painted black
from the fractory.

Aftermarket springs like Barnett's are painted. Diff. colors for tensions'
At least they do it for the Harley springs.
But Barnett has all the Kawi stuff.
I just sold some from my old Harley they were white, White are heavy duty, they have blue and red also.
Never did the Kaw Barnett thing. Factory Kaw always worked for me.
