If the stock clean air paraphernalia is still fitted, all of it may be removed. And probably should be removed because it adds potential air leak sources and doesn't improve engine performance.
The crankcase oil breather (shown below) should exit through an attached hose either into the airbox or a catch-can or to open air.
The hose from the crankcase oil breather should imo NEVER have any sort of aftermarket mini-air-filter attached to the hose.
Such filter is imo absolutely useless, and causes trouble as it clogs with oil vapors and progressively obstructs free breathing from the crankcase.
Oh wait! The little mini-air-filter might help prevent dreaded oil-eating inter-galactic alien beings from invading the crankcase.
Good Fortune!

Seemed like the moon at first. It's getting easier though.

Most of the time it's something stupid that's easy to overlook. Then you have the guy that has a mental block on something and tries to get around it only to find (if ever) it was the thing he didn't want to do in the first place. (valve adjustments for example) Once he's gotten over the "ick factor" and does it, then everything else falls into place. That's when he can call himself a "wrench" and go on to the next challenge.

I found my feeler gauges but I couldn't find the clearances for the bike. You wouldn't happen to know that? Also I took another test ride, all was good until I reved it out to 6k, that's when it started smoking again and it was bad.
