You need to verify that the battery is good by testing it, especially since it is a wet cell battery.

I use a Ctek US 0.8 smart charger & VC97 digital multimeter.

I have the manual of the 1977 KZ1000-B1 LTD

You have a 38 year old motorcycle. How about cracking that manual and doing some maintenance? There is a maintenance table in the manual which tells you what should be done and how often. In addition your bike is sure to need a deeper level of maintenance due to neglect. For example, failing to adjust the valves will damage them as well as the cylinder head. if that's the case you need to recondition the head which is an even bigger maintenance task.

Pay attention to this post. It is too early to declare that the head needs to come off.

It was a warning. I was about to do it too until the OP said he would check them. All too often the new owner will ignore this advice and wind up doing just what Ed was warning about or sell the bike to someone else saying all it needed was a carb adjustment.

:) Yes
Btw I have the "motorcycle service manual supplement" here and they don't talk about valves at all.
Until i i have not all the specs and a good tutorial on a similar bike i won't go there.

I need to be sure of all around before go there.
I will rework the carbs tonight.

The valve adjustment will be in your manual. That MUST be done before going to the carbs.

I didn't notice that. Valve adjustments are easier on the big fours.

Crazy man. You are trying to rehab a bike from 1978 without a proper manual. Unbelieveable. There various places to download the factory Kawasaki manual for your bike for free. Try looking for one.
