It will get you in the ball park but you'll still have to dial it in. I had mine too lean and adjusted accordingly.

Steve, did you dial it in using the Colortune to obtain the correct mixture?

You can use it to get close if you're rejetting. If not, you'll set the mixture screws per instructions then bring up the revs to about 2500 or where you hear a miss and dial it out with the screws in or out.

I have one.
It is a good tool for idle mixture adjustment. I recommend it.

I wish I had four instead of just one. But they are a bit pricey. Pain in the neck handling it once hot when transferring to the successive cylinders after doing the first cylinder. But it works. I frequent another site where a member hosts an annual carburetor clinic in upstate NY. They use four units and are able to tune (colrtune and vacuum sync) about 20 bikes in a day. Must be nice to have such convenience. I liked mine when I used it, but haven't used in probably 2 or three years.

I have one but it doesn't work for me. Tried it on
A 750 (4cyl) and a 550. It won't ignite unless
I richer it way way up. It's like it's not need enough
In the cylinder. I contacted them and they sent
Me a new one. Same result.

I was curious if anyone would mention that - problems with it not being long reach into the combustion chamber... i have been looking at them and thinking it would be a useful addition to the tool box but saw how short they are on the threaded side and feared it may be inaccurate as a result.
Thanks to all that replied with your experiences!
