Turn the crank to get to each shim. Open valve, place ziptie, rotate carnk a hair to create space between the cam lobe and shim and remove shim. Had three shims out and miced in 10 minutes. Very easy, no backing up the cam lobe, nothing to damage. R
After reading glasses this is had to go try it. THANK YOU! That is the fastest I have ever re-shimmer the motor ever.

Do they have to be folded over or just side the end on the zip tie under the valve and seat? The shorter zip tie I have is thinner so it would be more flexible but would it be thick enough to hold the valve open enough to remove the shim?

I used an 11"X1/4. I folded it in half and then folded the end again. To make things easier I heated it up with a lighter and pressed it in my vice. Worked great. The more you can get the valve to stay open the easier it is remove the shim.kzdcw wrote: Does it matter what size zip ties that you use ? I have 2 different sized zip ties on hand. One is 11" long a little more than 1/8" wide. The other is 13" long and a little more than 1/4" wide.

Saw the Video and looks like the same zip tie I have ( 11" )? Not sure where you make the Fold on the zip tie but should be able to figure it out?
