How many times can you re-use cam plugs if at all?

just occurred to me If I had any internal work done, would the cam plugs be able to be re- used as I think mine seem to have that silver gasket seal on them and I've seen others that have the gasket seal applied to them as well.

I've reused mine for years with copper silicon. Went to solid aluminum in 87.

makes sense given it is recommended to re-install most all bolts, that I'm aware of, to their original location as well as the cam hold down collars (?) Don't know their proper name but you know what I'm talking about. Parts get worn-into their particular location or are put there at the factory for a reason- because they are machined from the same piece/fit together

Mine were so old and hard, I knew I needed to replace them. The billet ones were a lot cheaper and permanent.

My experience is if they leak, replace them. If removed, replace them. Sealer never holds long and leaks will come quickly. Others report better results though. If I I remove one for any reason, or if one leaks, they go in the trash. 40 years nearly with these bikes for me and I've tried the options.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Any help in finding the billet ones online would be appreciated. I have the valve cover off my KZ1100 right now doing the valve lash. I will need cam plugs and gaskets.

Don't fix it until it's broken.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationZ1E should have them. Mine are the early style. Yours has the bolt in them?
