440/550 Parts Swapability
13 Apr 2016 15:33
Hey Guys -
Basically, I have a fallen 440 in the garage, and might have a chance to buy a running 550. I am guessing that I'll have good luck using many parts off the 440, but wanted to ask here to make sure that is not a false assumption about compatibility between the bikes,. Thanks!

The oil filter and oil filter cover might be swappable. Probably some light bulbs will swap, and maybe some connectors and switches. I doubt much else will swap. Maybe the battery, but seems doubtful.

Two complete different bikes the 440 is a 2 cylinder engine, the 550 is 4 cylinder.

Well for sure the oil filter. I had one left over from the 440 and it's same as for 550.
I don't think there's much else though.
I maybe read on the forum here that the front wheel was the same?
