so I had taken my stator off the cover but when I did one of the 3 stator Allen's snapped off inside. I tried to extract it but the extractor tip broke off inside too. so it's not ever gonna come out. so I just have one question. can I get away with just 2 bolts? I was told no because the electromagnetic field causes vibration and the stator could contact the magnet and something gets destroyed.

Yes correct but a good one. ! I had a buddy do this and for $30, a good machine shop got it and the broken extractor out with an electric discharge etching plasma gadget.

I've gotten them out with a punch and tapping on it till it got loose then used a magnet. I've been able to chase the threads with a tap but was prepared to use a Heli Coil if it didn't work.

Didn't another member recently post how they used a Dremel tool with a diamond tip bit (I think they said it was an etching bit or something) and basically the tool vibrated the broken bit out and then the broken stud out.
YMMV but good luck!
I just did that job last night and all 3 stator allen bolts and the ph2 screws holding the wire shield plate were solid and crusty. Luckily with patience and lots of PB oil soaking into them I managed to get all free of the casing.
