Oh my... well Im going to take some pictures of the cam bearings in the head and some other things too and post them up so you guys can see them and get a better idea of just how smeared things were in the top end. All the rods don't seem to have any excessive play in relation to the crank.. I just now read this, thanks so much for the replies. Sorry I been working alot and haven't had very much time to check on the website. Is splitting the cases A pretty serious job? Ive never had the bottom end opened up on any motorcycle engine let alone a big one. Farthest I've ever gotten was the case covers all off and maybe pulled a clutch basket or 2.. Im confident in my capabilities but if I was going to ask someone how tough this would be, id be asking you guys.
