Oil filter is blocked by the exhaust. KZ750 L3

When changing my oil, I found that the oil filter is being blocked by the exhaust pipe.

Did you loosen the screw and try pulling the cover down? You only need about 1/2" clearance and then you can tilt the cover on an angle to clear the pipe.

You can pull out the bolt then take the cover off. I have to do that with my V/H system. Put the new filter in, then the spring, then slide the bolt through.
