Tighten the bolt, hit it with a hammer, tighten it again and hit it over and over until it comes off.

What part do you hit with a hammer? The rotor or the bolt?

The bolt of course. I guess I wasn't clear enough. Good question.

I had an interesting experience with the "hitting the extractor" technique.... as soon as I whacked it the first time, my rotor magnets came off.
I guess it was from the shock, but I suppose it was better while extracting it, than while riding.
Next time I had to extract a rotor (using an air impact gun), I just kept tightening/loosening the extractor, until the rotor just popped out.
