cams won't work as the crank you are using has 15 teeth on the center pin and I don't think APE makes adapter sprockets for the small pin crank

Well if I use the same crank I should be able to use the cams rite? Or am I better off getting cams for it?
Because if I have the crank rods pistons heads cams and all and just install it in the 1000 caseing or is it more complitcated than that? And thanks for all the info
guys.

you can get the adapter to use the head and cams with your kz1000 bottem end.then just buy some aftermarket pistons for whatever size motor you want to build just remember to allow for the compression drop with the newer head.

I have a complete 1100 motor froma parts bike that is why I was wondering on the crank rods piston head swap.
Insted of buying new pistons cause the ones off the 1100 are in real good condition..

The rods do not come off of the crank, unless you use a press and disassemble the crank.
You can use the pistons ( provided they have 17 mm pin holes ), but you would need to run a spacer plate under the block to make up for the different compression height in the late style pistons.
We do not make an adaptor sprocket that allows you to run the 2 bolt cams with a 15t roller chain style crank, We made them for the 16t crank as some of the funnybike guys used to run stock GPZ cams with their turbos.
