Slips out of 2nd when I full throttle was created by JonGPZ750
Hello everyone,
Here is the low down the bike runs great when i just cruise around, but when I want to gun it I have problems in
2nd gear (full throttle) it slips out and puts me back into Neutral.
This only ever happens If I fully gun it 90% to 100%
Where should I look first.
FYI I have brand new clutch plates and springs, so I don't think its the clutch.

It's most likely a bent shift fork and/or worn gear dogs. Second gear sees the most force during hard acceleration and gear shifts so they tend to wear out quicker.
On most models, the engine will need removed and the cases split to replace the transmission components.

Chances are. You can lay the bike on it's side, take off the pan and peer inside. If the dogs are rounded, you have to open the cases.

Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.

The GPz750 gears are cast with a back cut so if it's jumping out of gear it's because it's not all the way in gear
or it's just been beat hard and is just wore the f**k out.
I'd look at the shift fork or the arm's behind the mission cover.
I drag race mine and shift to second gear at 10,000 rpm's and have NEVER had it jump out of second gear

If spring is strong enough, you might want to consider re desighning the trans. Start by relocating the gears. Boy this is funny! Because if o hadnt done it, i would sound ridiculous! Yeah man you gotta see my upcoming video that shows how i did it. I got tired of second gear and i got tired of losing races so i fixed both problems. I missed one shift and because i got wrenched back from the torque. But second never pops out. Used to no matter how cut or how new. Can change forks or stare at them for daze, second gear does not care. It is relentless. Hence the rising quest to move it on over.

Nads I run 1/8 mile as that's what our track is bike has gone 7.34@96 mph with a 1.60 60 ft time
that's about a high 11.30 1/4 mile.

I'm not nice to my tran's I beat on it hard and it's never gave me an issue.
