I used your method with the block of wood.... pistons are out, the one that was a pain looks like it was melted to the bore..weird. but now I have bigger problems.

When I was taking the head off I noticed one of the bolts for the cam sprocket was missing. Im thinking it fell down in the motor because its locked up still, its like its trying to move but something is wedged in a gear or something.

Time to tear the motor down :angry:
Should be a good learning experience though

If the engine is seized you can get it running again - but if you care about the engine, you really need to strip it down. If you can get it running you're just delaying the inevitable - you will need to strip it down later.
