KZ750/4 & KZ650 Crankshaft Seal was created by Nessism
Looks like crankshaft oil seal PN 92050-080 is discontinued. Searched and found some people purchasing aftermarket seal kits from ebay. Anyone have any experience with this SFK kit ? Hope so anyway because I just ordered one.:)

There is also a kit from Canada. ..

Maybe too late but heck, I'll order them both if necessary.

What say ye?

I have not used SKF parts for the 650, but have used their stuff before. You should be just fine with their parts. I would have used them if that kit was available when I did my 650.

If I remember the crank seals were directional, and only one side was still available from Kawasaki. I put the same seal both sides one was running backwards. Have no issues with it 6 years later.

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

That's interesting info about the turbo seal. Wonder if the diameter is the same and wonder why Kawasaki doesn't suggest it as an alternate.

At any rate, the SFK seals arrived and they look pretty good. Rubber is nice and soft; not just some leftover stock from 20 years ago. The crank seals have a lip on the outside OD to match with the groove in the case, and the seals inner lip has spiral flutes to keep oil inside. The RH and LH seals are different since the rotation is in opposite directions. Same as the OE seals. Time will tell how durable these things are but they pass the sniff test for now.
