I found the plunger on the tensioner was right at 15/16 to one inch out when my cam chain is tight (from the housing not the gasket)........ if its one inch and 5/16 or a hair more out you've pretty much reached its limit........ If your readings are thousands on the cam clearances your ok for a while.
Not sure which number is mm?

swest wrote: Once done you're good to go for 3-4000 miles. Did you get your cam timing issue worked out? When you said it had jumped, I thought bent valves.

Well I checked the markings on the cam shafts with the timing Mark T on the timing adjuster the T is a little off from the cam shafts. The cam chain pin count of 36 seems to be correct I might just have to realign it all again. Wtf. When I saw it skipping, I tightened the cam adjuster and it stopped but I don't get how it came loose.

Before I took it apart yesterday it ran fine no noises or anything. Just when I rotated it with the wrench it was skipping in the middle sprocket
