If the steel plates are blued anywhere or warped... they have to go too!!
Z1 Enterprise has good aftermarket friction plates at a very reasonable prices.

I always wet my friction plates with new/clean engine oil before assembly. I don't know what others do.
So, with the basket spinning and the clutch lever pulled in, the new plates will separate from the steel and get soaked in oil anyhow but I like them wet first.

I just measured a handful of "new in the OEM Kawasaki parts bag" friction plates and they all averaged 3.78mm to 3.81mmspdygon wrote: FIDER PLATES.........ANYTHING BELOW 3.50MM...REPLACE...NORMAL IS 3.65MM TO 3.80MM
