Slipping clutch was created by bb41077
So my clutched started slipping when I'm accelerating, have to let off and slowly get into it. I just took it apart to see if its shattered, but it looks fine, no nothing weird looking, what should I be looking for?? Can I just clean the plates off and put back in. What should I use to clean um up with??, put it back together dry or soaked in oil?

Clutch: friction plates are not expensive. Seriously.. at this stage... just replace them.

If the steel plates are blued anywhere or warped... they have to go too!!
Z1 Enterprise has good aftermarket friction plates at a very reasonable prices.

Ya I think its time to just replace them they r getting worn down. The plates look brand new so I think I'm solid on them

Don't clean them, just get a new set.
I always wet my friction plates with new/clean engine oil before assembly. I don't know what others do.
So, with the basket spinning and the clutch lever pulled in, the new plates will separate from the steel and get soaked in oil anyhow but I like them wet first.

What's a good clutch plate to buy then there seems to be so many different kinds and different priced. I just want to get the right one of course and I'm newer to this so I could use some advice. Thanks

Replace the springs. Your factory manual should list the minimum length and yours are collapsed.

The stock clutch disks last a VERY long time, and that's what I would use to replace the old ones. It's possible using the wrong motor oil ruined yours.

What oil have you been using?

I just measured a handful of "new in the OEM Kawasaki parts bag" friction plates and they all averaged 3.78mm to 3.81mm
