Ok I have an 82 kz750N and a 78 kz650... I want to make the 750 a chain driven motor... will the parts from the 650 fit in the 750?????

couldn't you use the top end of the 750 on the 650 lower end??????????

I believe the '78 KZ650 uses a regular link type cam chain while the KZ750-N uses a hyvo cam chain. Given that, there would be a compatibility problem between the cams and cam chain guides on the KZ750-N top end and the crankshaft in the KZ650 bottom end. Ed

The output shaft on the chain drive models is different from the shaft-drive models, so you'd probably have to swap transmissions. I guess it can be done. ???
