Engine nosie after slide was created by Sleepy202
It's been awhile since I last posted but I haven't had the time to work on my bike till now.
I lowsided my bike in the rain(right side) and now their is a knocking nosie that kind of sounds like marbals. She has trouble starting with out the choke and liberal throttle. She also stalls when idaling. Other then that she still runs fine and is rideable. I will try to to get a video clip of the nosie and stall.
I was wondering what it could be. Please and thank you.

Did the engine run any significant length of time when it was laying on it's side?

I remember this idiot who had just been knocked down with a broken knee dragging himself quickly over to his sideways bike to snap the key off because the engine was revving.....

My wife questions my priorities.....

If it ran for very long on it's side there is no oil feed and it will quickly eat bottom end bearings.

It sat on its side for a few seconds. I rode it back home after I slid out because the bars were bent to hell and back. I was about a minute or two from my house. So I guess it did...ya.....
Ps bounty, I think your priorities should are fine !

Remove it and run it to see if the crank moves side to side,

the points cover is the one on the left side right? One of the three previous owners, in all there grace, stripped the screws. This will be fun getting them off.

PS: Sorry if my questions seem odd. I'm new to working on my bike.

Alright I believe I removed the right cover. The nob in the middle did not seem to move sideways it just spun around.
For my own solidarity the points cover is the smaller cover on the right side of I'm sitting on the bike?

Then no side to side movement. Just spinning. I will try to get a recording after work today. Any other ideas would be welcome.

You have got to get yourself a factory service manual for your bike, you will really be lost without it. It will explain what you need to know step by step. Check out loudhvx profile and I believe there may be a digital version in his signature. Especially as this is your first bike, you basically have a nice long learning curve ahead of you. Don't get discouraged though as these bikes are relatively simple and fun to wrench on.
