These were used in 87 when I put them in. It's a wonder they worked at a;;. The inner ones were rubbing on the outer ones.

Thank you for your input, everybody! You've given me a lot to think about, and you've definitely helped to make my thought process a little more streamlined. 
Ed - thanks especially for taking the time to post all of those images.
I think I'll stick with the three-angle grind, and hold out 'til I win the lottery before really putting some cash into this thing. Thanks again!
