hello people; I'm new. With my screw up with the timing I got to inspect the head like I never had. I'm
looking for anyone with experience with them. I don't know if it was something I did but I noticed a crack in two plug holes that creep towards the valve seat. With the valve out you can see the seats are not cracked but I have a sick feeling about the cracks. Any experts out there?

PS I'll bet zed red 1015 could help

The cracks between seats and the plug hole are common and are usually only on the surface.
Nothing to worry about ;)

hello zed; Thanks for the post and I feel a bit better now but I'm kinda pissed at my timing mishap. I know you've been around these big fours a while but do you think the crack is from over tightening the plug or something else?

That's caused by heat. Not a problem unless it travels else where. I don't have them but my last head did. Don't worry about it.
