Z1100 shaft front bevel drive oil seal was created by Davereplicant
Hello,
I have oil pouring out of the front bevel drive where the shaft attaches.
It's bad enough to empty the engine of oil in minutes.

I don't know if this is wear and tear or crankcase pressure although you would of thought the oil would of exited from the oil breather if this was the case.

Looking at the parts list on cmnsl the fich states a seal which seems identical to a front fork seal.

Anyone know if this is the case and how easy that seal is to get to?
Are any special tools required to pull the final splined drive?

Thanks in advance for any help.

My oil breather arrangement wasn't breathing.
I presume the engine was string to vent at the easiest place.
That was a close call.

Still leaking :-(

Going to pull the front bevel and have a look.
I have a couple of fork seals in stock so if that's a straight fit great.
I've obviously blown the seal when the crankcase vent was blocked. One of the few seals I haven't replaced yet.

Anyone have any experience of replacing the seals on the front bevel of an 1100 shaftie. Looks like a big job.
