Did a few miles on my kz 750 b (1976), stopped... restarted 10 mn later, put the first gear on, released the clutch and then :woohoo:
nothing
Tried again with the other gears, and then   :woohoo:
nothing
The bike stays still as if I were in neutral.
I can hear the gears shift and no weird noises, my clutch lever seems normal and the bike was just fine 10 mn before.
Any idea what it could be? I'm lost and wouldn't be confident to open the gearbox :S
Thanks
Chris

I'm a bit confused as to which washer I need though, I found 2 on Z1 enterprises:
This one
www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDetails.aspx?i...line&item=92200-1065
and that one
www.z1enterprises.com/ListItems.aspx?keywords=ZLF024-044
Not sure which one is the right one as they both mention KZ 750 B
Any idea?
Many Thanks for your help

Another Sprocket washer
Another Sprocket washer
And a couple more just on the first page of a Google search for the part number.
There is not enough room under the sprocket cover on a 750 twin for the sprocket to slide off the shaft. So it just sits there spinning on the threads at the end of the output shaft, messing it up.
I was close enough that I coasted into the driveway.

Wow! I have had outstanding service from Partzilla, and I have ordered parts from them on several different occasions . I am very surprised that you had a bad experience with them. I highly recommend them, Z1E, and ronayers.com. I believe you will find that most parts dealers must order most if not all genuine parts from Kawasaki and then ship them to the end customer. Some local shops or online dealers may routinely stock certain parts, but there's no way any dealer can afford to keep an inventory on hand of every part for every model bike in hopes that someone will order the part. That would be economic suicide. Ed
