Just tryin to get a little feedback on ceramic coating on pistons. The guy that's helping me with my motor recommends having it done. doin a 1327 kz motor. whats your ideas? thanks

Swain is the one my motor guy suggested. I was on their site earlier. cool. yea, im just seeing what people say about stuff like this. my motor guy has been doin this for about 25 years, I think he said. Smart guy. thanks for the imput.

ceramic coating the domes is insurance against leaning out and burning a piston.it also helps reflect the heat so it goes on out the exhaust.
it is typically done along with teflon coated skirts,
which is like putting roller bearings on the skirts of your pistons.greatly reduces the friction between the skirt and the cylinder wall.
i do it on all the pistons a can.and would recommend it for any engine.
all good no bad,not many of those in the performance engine world.

thanks for the imput Leon. gonna order my pistons from Joe Hooper and then send them out. as you have probably read, my motor guy says that Swain is the place. I like getting feedback the guys on here. The guys and this forum and awesome. thanks

A friend asked a major engine builder about Teflon coating piston skirts. The engine builder said if you're having problems with your eggs sticking, then Teflon would probably help.
