Getting new front forks- 81 kz750 was created by lancekyser14
So I have been thinking about ditching the stock forks on my kz750. What do I need to know about changing the front forks? I want newer, higher performance forks, probably something I will get from eBay from a newer model bike. Any info provided is greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas!

front end swaps are common.typically using late model zx,gsxr stuff.
sometimes you can find conversion bearing kits from all balls, sometimes it requires some machine work and a stem swap.
the overall length of the leg and wheel together is what you need to pay attention to as most of the late model stuff is a little shorter and the wheels will be 17's instead of 18/19 inch wheel.

Any sites in specific I should check out for those kits? Also when shopping for these new forks, do I need to shop for triple trees as well?

you are on one of the best sites for front end conversions for kz's.
go back through the project pages.
you want to buy as complete of a front end as possible.that way you have all the pieces to make it work.
triples ,legs,brakes,wheel etc.
