Unless I'm not seeing the whole picture I'd split the case, weld the boogered hole up and have it remachined. If you chose to have it repaired show us the after pics.

Cases (top and bottom halves and camshaft cap) are line bored as a unit and are not interchangable....there could be a match using different halves on the stray chance but it isn't something you can plan for. I think calling Pit Stop first to talk with them is a good first step as I think plug welding the hole could work. If your bike is a matching numbers one then it might be the best option to keep the cases. Good luck :)

Do you still have the piece the broke out?
If so ,,,,,,,,,,,,,It's a piece of cake for "THE RIGHT WELDER"
Done right it wont even need any kind of insert.
I have seen it done MANY times.
When you find "THE RIGHT WELDER"
All you need to do is pull the tank, drain the fuel before and change the oil and filter after.

Just make sure you check out other work they have done BEFORE you turn them loose on your bike.

I talked to Joe at pit stop performance and I am going to send them the lower half of the case for repair.

Pulling the engine and splitting the case. Oh joy!

Did the hole used to project out of the case even with the bolt hole next to it?

What happened? It looks like you put a black cat in the hole and lit it off. All the little chunks laying there.
