Oooops. Sorry, based on your ID (kz650guy123) I thought you were talking about a KZ650. The cam caps on the KZ1000 are different. Take a look at Page 6-21 at

. That manual contains specs for the KZ1000-J1, J2, and J3. Figure 6-60 on that page shows the camshaft cap tightening order. The diagram there has the exhaust side facing the top of the page. Ed
