A picture is worth 1,000 words. The bike may feel gutless because the previous owner put pods on it. If he was not patient enough to spend time and money rejetting the carbs so they work ok with pods the bike will run like crap; increasing the engine's displacement will not help if that is the problem. It looks like you are about to be come a carb guru. Ed

There's about a 10-12 hp increase going with the 750 head, cams, pistons and cylinder block. another 10 hp increase by using the GPz750 Head (won't bolt on pre 81 650), cams, pistons, and carbs.

It's only money

Hey Steell Its gonna be a few more months before I get 500 miles on the re build so I've been a good boy and have not really been able to hammer it yet.

What kind of peak rpm do you think I can get outta the 700cc kit, rebuilt KZ650 head and a 750 cam .330 lift and APE springs ?? Old red line was 9,000 with it pulling to 9,300. Will the new motor pull hard to 10.000 or just under ?? I know you like the 750 cam over the gpz cause of the lower end torque. Thanks.

Well, the 750 Turbo uses KZ650 cams, and it's common to wind them to 10.5k-11k.
Depends on a lot of things though.

That could be 8k or it could be 12k, could you narrow it down a little?
