you need to measure the current bore's and figure out what the next oversize is.
get the new pistons and then have the cylinders bored and honed to match the new pistons.
voila then re-assemble.

What makes you think your bike needs a bore and new pistons?
More info would help , mileage compression test results or leak down test ?

Sounds like your bike needs a full tune-up done right. KZ650's were never considered gutless bikes. Get on one that is properly tuned and running as it was when new and you might be surprised at how peppy it is. Not going to beat a new sportbike, but enough ooomph to make you grin. Ed

There's about a 10-12 hp increase going with the 750 head, cams, pistons and cylinder block. another 10 hp increase by using the GPz750 Head (won't bolt on pre 81 650), cams, pistons, and carbs.
It's only money :laugh:
