yes.

you need to measure the current bore's and figure out what the next oversize is.
get the new pistons and then have the cylinders bored and honed to match the new pistons.
voila then re-assemble.

If your new to riding ,,,,,,,,Welcome :cheer:
All the answers from the others are good , BUT !
We don't want to kill you either.
What makes you think your bike needs a bore and new pistons?
More info would help , mileage compression test results or leak down test ?

Its Not That I Think It Needs It I Just Want It To Have A Little More Power. Its Kind Of Gutless In My Opinion. But With ThePrice If The New Pistons I Don't Think I Could Afford It Right Now Anyways. I'm In The Process Of Making It Into A Cafe Racer Right Now As Well.

Welcome, posting some pics of your bike would be great. Thinking a bike is gutless is a subjective matter, if for example you compare it to a modern superbike....it sure is gutless. Ordinarily the 650's are very nimble and quite strong so it may just be that your bike is not tuned/adjusted to ideal specs. Bumping it up a size or two alone might not give you the results you expect....although if used in conjunction with head work (porting) better carbs, 4:1 exhaust, etc. then you will see noticeable power gains. One other avenue to pursue for better performance is to shed weight wherever you can in your cafe transformation. Good luck and post some pics if you can. :)

a set of performance cam's and a good 4 into 1 header can go a long ways to waking a bike up.
bore jobs by themselves rarely bump power up very noticeably.

Sounds like your bike needs a full tune-up done right. KZ650's were never considered gutless bikes. Get on one that is properly tuned and running as it was when new and you might be surprised at how peppy it is. Not going to beat a new sportbike, but enough ooomph to make you grin. Ed

10% increase in displacement = 10% increase in torque
There's about a 10-12 hp increase going with the 750 head, cams, pistons and cylinder block. another 10 hp increase by using the GPz750 Head (won't bolt on pre 81 650), cams, pistons, and carbs.

It's only money
