77 KZ 1000 exhaust pipes (4 into 2) on a 77 KZ 900

Hey! I have never written anything on a forum before, but here goes: I have an A5 77 KZ900 that presently has old beat-up 4 into 2 Jardine pipes on it. I found some nice pipes designed to go on a 77 KZ1000. I know that at the engine these mount up. But back by the foot-pegs, the mounts look way different; with the 1000's mount being a bolt that comes out of the middle of the pipe. Is there an adapter for this. I don't have any other old Kawies to look at.

Hello, KRJr, and WELCOME TO KZr! :cheer:

A simple bracket may be fabricated from the muffler to the frame.

I include a small rubber motor mount to isolate exhaust vibration.

Good Fortune! :)
