What would it be? Should I just have my current crank trued and welded or should I consider some sort of hybrid?

Since I already have a Wiseco 1173 kit I suppose I should stick with the 18mm pins. Is there a better option for a lighter crank itself? Maybe use a 900 crank? I know the complete crank/rod/center pin assemblies don't interchange, but what about hybrids?

If you want light and strong with what ever combo possible contact a company like Falicon or Pearson . I have a Falicon crank in my bike now for over 30 years and will let that speak for itself. Don't know Pearson my self , but many here use his shop.

Not looking for a crank debate war . Just 2 references

My bike retains the EFI bored-out by Pogue, has a header, and a set of Web-cam 109's. I plan on dropping the 10.5:1 1173 kit in and am considering at least welding the crank while apart that far. Then I thought if I can buy and build a better crank that I can swap-in at the time that would be even better than waiting for the crank to be done.

It's not a blown, nitrous, or anything else really wild, but thought if I were to buy a crank, why not look at making an improvement If it can be done within a reasonable budget?

Just send it to Pearson for a thrust bearing, true & weld. They were prone to thrust bearings going bad. John will inspect the whole crank and tell you if anything else is failing. The Pogue throttle bodies were a good choice.

Gotta agree i would send it to Pearson Racing. John does excellent work. He did my crank and trans and the jugs.

This Pearson Racing, do they have a website?? All I find is some Pearson guy that does Gold Star cranks.

Last place I sent a motorcycle crank to was Marine Crankshaft out in California. Nice work!!!
