You might want to check valve clearances at same time while valve cover is off.

Good call, I did remember reading to check that. Assuming an adjustment would be needed, are there any parts I should have in advance to minimize downtime? I'll most likely end up doing it over a rainy weekend since its not that bad yet.

Checking valve clearances is the relatively easy part, compared to adjusting the clearances which is more difficult.
If needing adjustment, some disassembly is required in order to access the shims. Which is necessary to determine which size replacement shims are needed.
