Mikaw post=846108 My 78 1000 will make noise if I lower the rpm to much (below 800) It’s backlash in the trans. If I pull in the clutch it gets quiet. I normally keep the idle rpm about 1000 to 1100
Agree! According to the owner's manual the correct idle speed for the KZ650 is 950 - 1050 rpm. I keep mine at about 1050 and it doesn't make noise. If i set it below 1000 rpm it will make some noise. Ed
