I saw where z1enterprises was going to have new aftermarket Jet Blocks for the 29's,
Just found them on their site with a deeper search, didn't come up under the 29 carb parts search.

What is the correct way to get the jet block out. I got everything off of the carb, but had trouble getting block out. I took a screw driver through the mouth of the card to put it into the slot on the jet and turned it. I then took the jet block and throttle valve out. Put the jet block back in and the throttle valve an dit would not go all the way down, in the closed position. I throught that maybe the throttle valve was bent so I ordered another throttle valve and it does the same thing. Has anyone had this problem ? What could be causing the throttle valve to get stuck, but only in the closed position ? Thanks.

Is it possible that the bore somehow got out of round while I was taking the jet out ? How can I fix this ?

Where the Jet Block is held in, and its gasket. You may have to loose it, and re-adjust it a small fraction. Testing the slide valve fit. Repeat a few times until the slide fits correctly. This is a close tolerance where the 1et Block and Slide fit, getting it to fit without binding may take a couple of tries.

I had the #3 carb completely apart with no jet block in it and the throttle valve still does not go all the way down like the other 3 do when the throttle is closed. I goes down most of the way and then it stops, like it is binding on something. It is a new throttle valve and the old one does the same thing since I replaced the jet block.

OK try this. Remove the carb and take out the jet block. Take a Magic Marker, Black is good, and mark the lower part of the slide valve all around the circumference. Then try to fit it. The area where there is interference should show plainly. Then Mark the slide at the Locating Pin Groove, and try again. Hopefully this will show where the bad tight spot is. Then take some fine wet/ dry like 600 grit or so, and sand down the area inside the carb bore. The slide has a coating so I wouldn't sand on it. Hopefully it is just a small burr that can easily be removed. Maybe a small fine needle file first then the sand paper. Clean it up and retest the fit.

Is this a common problem ? What would make it not work after just replacing the jet block ?
