can I fit '79 kz1000 headers to an '82 model? was created by cas.vanderwoude
hi folks,
I'm selling a Vance & Hines set of headers fitted to a '79 to someone who has an '82 kz1000. Will they fit or are there differences in the exhaust port measurements?

thanks in advance for all your help!

The early Kz1000's had 6mm studs for the exhaust clamps, but the later bikes had 8mm ones, so you'll need to enlarge the holes with a drill bit or reamer.
