One guy who is on kzrider.com put a Derale (I believe) 6" fan in the front of his KZ1000's engine and said this prevented any overheating. I know Derale now makes a 4" fan and I was toying with the idea of mounting it behind the cylinder head/block as one option.

most thermosts come on at 180*. it will only run below 180 in cold weather, at that point the thermostat would stay closed and the motor will heat up to 180.i have 1 on my 1200. it still sees 235* with a 13 row Earls cooler. and that not stop and go trafic.
i dont see a reason for having it adjustable??
