Might be worth getting some pix from various angles with and without the *WirBraket*(tm), find out who's who at V&H and send a couple of deftly-worded nastygrams.
Maybe not worth the paper thry're printed on, maybe it'd kick off a Q/C revolution in the salt mines and you get a replacement.
Hell, you paid for it - give it a shot...
