whats the differance between a Vance & Hines Sidewinder and this Vance & Hines Pro-Pipe? both are intended to fit kawasaki kz 1000

Probably tube size,top tubes look bigger might need a front end rake also. B)

I believe the sidewinder requires a rake also. Can't say for sure, never tried to mount one on a non raked bike.

If you look close....you can see a double wall at top opening of header. Could explain the bigger size?

I cropped the photo and expanded the photo....its not a double wall just a wire going across to hold mounting flange in place.... :sick:

If your looking at e-bay adds I believe they are selling the same header, just wording differently. The pro pipe does say small tubed and pic is not actual part. You may contact them to clarify what they are actually selling. If it's the same, someone sells it for around $211 if you look around.

Yeah, I dont think that top picture is what your getting. I have not seen a new pipe like that in years.

The top pipe IS NOT a KZ pipe.
Look at the angle of the flange at the head.

As for the other one Yes with some easy mod.'s
it will fit with out raking the frame.
I put one on my 1980 650f1 today.
1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.
Wiseco 810cc kit.
Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.
63" wheel base.

Look at the angle of the primary tube entrances in the top one. You're not bolting that to a Kawasaki OEM head..

well I guess that ends it....not a KZ header....I couls swear Ive seen several on KZ bikes.....will call Vance & Hines to ask....I need to see if they will replace my Megaphone that cracked at the weld....
