Putting my motor together and am almost sure how this goes but not 100%. Its a 78 kz650 or should I say a 700.

Both the manuals say to glue the rubber pads to the shaft on the liska chain tentioner with the up showing which I've done but then you put the shaft in the cylinder cutout and have the 2 pads pointing upwards where they will go into the head and be held in place there??? Pictures on this are not to plain and almost look like its the other way around in the clymer.

On The front sproket the shaft fits into the cutout on the cyl then the pads are glued on and are barley smashed on the top with the gasket and head. I'm ok with this just want to make sure the pads go in the head on the tentioner before I torque it down. Thanks Ron.
