Cam chain tensioner was created by Calico
So! Here I am again. I was considering changing to a manual cam chain tensioner when someone told me that he thinks mine can be adjusted. I was under the impression that mine could not be. Does anyone know differently for an 82' 750ltd? Thank you.

Perhaps there's a freely down-loadable manual around here somewhere.

Good Fortune! :)

I saw this same info, but this is one area where the Kawasaki.com data has errors. The tensioners definitely are not the same across those models. I would suggest supplying a picture of the tensioner in question; maybe that will help identify which flavor it is. Ed

Right, changing to manual is the easiest way. In fact, there is a way to convert one from the original. I'm just not certain if I can take the slack out with a cross wedge. I'll take a picture asap and post soon. Than you to everyone!

He may have done the same as I. If you look at part #99996-1021 TENSIONER KIT Kawasaki.com shows it is used for all the models Patton listed. However, many of the individual parts in the kit don't fit some of the models listed because their tensioners are different. Very confusing. Ed

Is that Tensioner Kit a manual type? I didn't even notice that. hee.
I think I made a boo-boo too by not looking at the Kaw diagram carefully enough... hee.

Ok, here is a picture of what mine looks like but mine has not been removed yet. So does anyone know if this one can be adjusted? By appearance it seems so. But my Clymer book isn't of much help here.
