the mount out.
Make a patch two gauge thicker that's about a 1/4" larger
on all sides.
Weld that on top of the pipe and spread the load over a larger area
then weld a mount to that.

I agree with you on this...would prob be the way to correct issue.

Maybe you can install a rubber heatproof grommet at the frame, the kind like on our battery boxes, rear tail, ect. I'm surprised the V&H dude didn't even ask you about it. I have not heard of many issues with the sidewinders failing.... its usually the V&H megaphone pipes that have fitment issues (major as of late).
Crappy customer service for the amount of money that company hauls in. :blink:
