Absence of commercial self-promotion in the regular discussion forums has historically been one of KZr's laudable and unique features enjoyed and appreciated by the vast majority of members and viewing guests, where the discussion forums remain free from product or service solicitations.

The Rules apply equally to all members, whether paying advertiser or not.

The Vendor's forum is an exclusive venue reserved to advertisers, where their products and services may be introduced and otherwise promoted.
KZr's advertising Vendors are encouraged to take full advantage of the Vendor's forum, and to also include appropriate links in their signatures.

If in response to a question a vendor provides specific information in the vendor's forum, is it within the site's rules for that vendor to suggest to the person posting the question that they visit the vendor's forum? Ed

Yes. A response such as "Check the Vendor forum" or "Check with KZr's supporting Vendors" or "Check the VENDOR DIRECTORY" would be okay, as it isn't self-promotion.
The poster's signature may also include a link as provided in the rule.

PRODUCT OR SERVICE ADVERTISING IS STRICTLY LIMITED
KZrider.com is not a place for you to solicit sales of any kind. No member is allowed to refer to their own business, or any business to which he/she is associated, through the discussion forum or personal messaging system (U2U). There are three exceptions: 1. As permitted in Classifieds (consumer-to-consumer transactions). 2. Each member is allowed a simple link ( somesite.com ) in their signature, which link shall include no description of any kind. 3. Paying advertisers are allowed to post in the Vendor forum.

Good Fortune! :)

Mine was worn that bad too (only on one end). I ordered a new seal from ronayers.com and found a NOS rod on ebay for $20 since ronayers showed it to be obsolete. Ended up not needing the seal once the new rod was in.

So the way you are reading this, only paying sponsors are prohibited from saying "You can get that from APE or Z1 Enterprises", etc"

Others, who are not paid advertisers, can post that.

That is what I am reading.

This is exactly the opposite from all of the other sites we advertise on.

I never pass on the opportunity to upgrade parts to APE. I have the APE push rod in two engines. This rod is a consumable item but I'd bet the APE version is a harder material that would last a lifetime with minimal maintenance.
This part should be pulled out, wiped clean and lightly oiled EVERY time the cover is pulled off the engine.
