Sorry internet dropped out from storm.
You say it only runs 2 minutes then tries to shut off? Again, are you running a fan to move air over the motor when sitting still? The smoke off of the external, that should burn off in a few minutes, that should be left over from working on it, unless you have a leak somewhere. Look at your spark plugs, are they white still or getting colored, especially in the cylinder that got holed. Maybe see if you have some vacuum leaks, around the carb manifolds, or the vacuum hoses. I'd be pulling the carbs and going through them, something had to lean out, probably to hole the piston. What set up are you running? Stock?

Hey Patton, set the valve timing with the cam at the F mark? not the T mark?

O.K. this is how it is set up, crank mark is on the T both cams are facing inside it starts right up when it is cold, and then shut down after 2 min. when it gets hot, I dont see if I put a fan on it if that would help if I was riding it and had to stop it would still shut down, I can`t even ride it, the bike gets hot and shuts down that quick. Spark plugs are right and gaped at .07-.08

Valve timing uses the "T" which is Top Dead Center, the Ignition uses the "F" which is for Fire.

I`ve looked at the valve timing again, the book says one thing and my bikes gear pattern does not match up with the book. In the book it shows the exhaust Z7ex line straight with a peg, on mine the line splits the link, I made a diagram of the two, were do I start my count to 45th to 46th. or am I being too anal....
