Wow, all the guy is trying to do is clean his bike. How is cleaning a bike a safety hazard? If you are anal about cleaning it you are probably anal about maintenance too. Mine ain't shiny anymore because I ride her often. When I do my routine maintenance I also get the grime off of it and shine her up at the same time.

I like the skinny little meth mouth ramble.  Reminds me of an old joke

Back on the subject. Oxalic acid works wonders for rust removal, including inside gas tanks. And it's cheap too, just check E-bay.

Yea, Yea, I hear you talking. If it is crap on the outside, it is .hit on the inside. Motorcycles are mechanical wonders and art for the road. Nothing wrong with pride in ones bike, dude.

Am addicted to Z1's and kz 900's have an el camino, fly rc helicoptors and am strung out on horsepower.

Speaking of which, I've got a tube of something called "Brass Restorer" on the way from the UK.

I've got a brass eagle insert for a sissy bar that's seen better days. It looks like the brass plating might be worn off in some areas, but I can't get it clean enough to tell. Hoping this stuff at least gets it to the point where I can tell if I need to replate it.

7" hand held grinder with a buffing wheel adapter and 8" buffing wheels, grinder can be locked in a vise and locked in the on position for polishing parts off the bike, or it can be hand held for polishing on the bike. Forget sandpaper, emory compound on a 8" sisal wheel works better than sandpaper and is loads easier.
