Oil Breather was created by AjKZBobber
So, I have pod filter on my 1979 KZ750 twin. Since there is not an air box anymore, the Oil breather is just open to atmosphere, instead of being routed to the air box that is no longer in place.
My question is whether or not this is the right thing to do with the Oil Breather. Should it be blowing to atmosphere? Should I maybe add a hose to it, and route it so that it blows away from the bike instead of straight up underneath the carbs?

Oem connection to the air box may afford a slight vacuum to assist exit of blowby from the crankcase.
Akin to the Brit bike practice of routing via a hose alongside the rear fender, and being less sophisticated, absent the "recycle" feature.
There's also the mini-pod option, which might under certain conditions help prevent entry of insects and small vermin.
Good Fortune!

On my BSA there was a stubby little tube that pointed directly at the countersprocket so oil mist would keep the drive chain lubed. Ed
